We’re looking for an advisor HR consultant to join our ranks. In this role, you will be a resource in organizational design, compensation structures, onboarding, and developing employees. While this position is mainly client facing, you will also be helping coach our firms’ leaders into strong human resources managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consulting with Commonwealth’s firms to help them build strong teams and nurture talent
  • Helping firms navigate HR needs, including creating employee handbooks, setting up payroll systems, and addressing legal and regulatory factors
  • Developing compensation models and resources for staff, advisors, and partners at advisory firms
  • Collaborating extensively with other Practice Management consulting teams to provide holistic support for all phases of the business life cycle
  • Writing for the Commonwealth Business Review and the Commonwealth blog
  • Presenting at Practice Management programs and Commonwealth conferences

Core Strengths and Skills

  • Previous experience building compensation packages
  • Empathetic and supportive; comfortable providing direct feedback to leadership teams
  • 7–10+ years of progressive human resources experience; demonstrated experience working in small business environment desired
  • Strong understanding of employee benefits, employment concepts, and compensation packages
  • Bachelor’s degree required; PHR or secondary education desired
