About Us

Fairchild Employment Law is a growing employment litigation firm in San Diego focused on representing employees who have faced unlawful treatment by their employers. This is your opportunity to get in on the ground floor to building an influential women-owned law firm in San Diego. We handle plaintiff-side employment law cases with a particular focus on disability and pregnancy discrimination while maintaining a broad practice that includes all types of employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced associate attorney that is interested in helping to create a dynamic litigation team. In this position, you will have direct client interaction and actively manage the day-to-day strategy for your caseload. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and share our commitment to compassionate yet vigorous representation of employees facing workplace discrimination and harassment.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and trials
  • Engage in all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, motions to compel, and expert witnesses
  • Conduct factual and legal research to develop litigation strategies
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve optimal client outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership
  • Minimum 2 years of litigation experience
  • Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions
  • Strong track record in discovery management and motion practice
  • Trial experience preferred
