We are an axial flux induction machine (both motor AND generator) that provides reliable, consistent performance, with little-to-no maintenance. Our products have been in use by the military and heavy industry for almost 35 years. We’re even in use on the Hubble Telescope!

We are on the hunt for a skilled and passionate CNC Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent full-time position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on high-end, intricate projects using state-of-the-art machinery. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for creating complex parts and components from raw materials, using CNC machinery. Your role will involve interpreting technical drawings, programming and operating CNC machines, and ensuring that the final products meet our strict quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints to understand the specifications of the product.
2. Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce high precision parts.
3. Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments as required.
4. Use precision measuring tools to inspect and ensure parts are within specified tolerances.
5. Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve machining problems during the manufacturing process.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and techniques.
9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to optimize machining processes.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist in the engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in operating mill, 5 axis machines, and other CNC machinery.
3. Extensive knowledge of machining, tool and die, and fabrication techniques.
4. Proficient in using CAD/CAM software, particularly Fusion 360.
5. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
6. Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
10. Must be safety-conscious and adhere to all safety protocols.
11. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
