About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Community Association Paralegal to join our legal team. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to apply your legal expertise in various areas, including legal document preparation, registered agent services, legal rewrites, and title information research. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and efficiency in community association matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review legal documents, including deeds, contracts, and lease agreements, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Serve as the registered agent for various associations, handling correspondence, compliance filings, and annual reports.
Manage document rewrites and revisions to maintain accuracy and legal relevance.
Conduct title research using the Automated Title Information Data System (ATIDS).
Handle recall and special assessment mortgage matters, offering expert guidance to clients and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with the Marketable Title Act, keeping property titles clear and marketable.
Oversee legal matters related to Homeowners Associations (HOA) and Property Owner Associations (POA), including governance, compliance, and dispute resolution.
Collaborate closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to provide high-quality legal support.
Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations affecting the associations we represent.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years as a Paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal setting.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong background in legal document preparation and review.
Experience with registered agent services and document rewrites.
Proficiency with Automated Title Information Data System (ATIDS).
Knowledge of Marketable Title Act, recall procedures, and special assessment mortgage matters.
Familiarity with HOA/POA regulations and compliance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
