Location: Golden Valley-MN

Base Salary: $70,000 to $90,000+Best-in-class benefits

Job Description:

Project Engineer:

• We are looking for individuals that are eager to become Project Managers.
• The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting with overseeing and directing all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
• Commercial Construction

What you will do:

• As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the project team while maintaining proactive relationships with the project’s stakeholders.
• The Project Engineer will assist with monitoring all activities of the project.
• The Project Engineer acts as a liaison between the Project Manager and the Project Superintendent to help ensure that the goals of the project are met.

Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

· Train to become a Project Manager.

· Meeting agendas and compiling meeting minutes.

· Subcontractor coordination & notifications.

· Project startup.

· Material acquisition.

· Document management.

· Monthly sub invoice approvals.

· Processing & Tracking:

o Pricing

o ASIs

o PRs

o RFIs

· Submittals:

o Processing

o Reviewing

o Addressing comments

· Learn to run projects on your own (work with Project Executive or Sr Project Manager):

o Estimating

o Subcontract negations

o Project management

o Draft subcontracts

o Draft sub & owner change orders

o Review draft pay applications

· Punch list administration.

· Closeout documents.

Requirements:

· Willing to learn the construction process.

· Driven to become a construction project manager.

· Basic understanding of construction procedures as well as material and project management principles.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

· Team player with leadership abilities.

· Capable of operating construction/project management software.

· Excellent communication skills.
