Salary: Based Upon Experience

CHC is looking for a NCCCO Crane Operator located in Casey Key/Nokomis, FL area.

ExperiencedConventional/Hydraulic Crane Operator for a BARGE;

with Lattice Boom Crawler Cranes & Large Telescopic Boom Cranes

(swing cab/rough terrain) and crawler certifications.

Responsible for operating Conventional and Hydraulic cranes to safely and efficiently lift, move, position, and reposition materials, machines, or products in many directions. The Operator would need to be able to receive direction from riggers and/or site supervision via verbal or hand signals to determine required load movement and will be required to perform pre- and post-trip inspections along with daily and monthly equipment inspections as well as following appropriate safety procedures. Operators typically work under direct supervision and are expected to work long hours with frequent sitting, standing, moving, and climbing. The Operator is subject to possible exposure to extreme year-round outdoor environmental conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport.

• Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers.

• Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations.

• Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane.

• Responsible for compliance with company policy, safety guidelines and procedures that pertain to the crane operators job.

• Remains in continual voice, hand, and or communication with rigger while operating crane.

• Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged.

• Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use.

• Follows correct lock-out and tag procedures.

• Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Must have experience Pile Driving and working from a barge
• Lattice boom and crawler certifications.
• 
  Verbal communication.
• 
  Organizational skills.
• 
  Strong attention to detail.
• 
  Problem solving.
• 
  Team oriented.
• 
  Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.

*No per diem or housing paid for this position.
