Job Overview:


Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Technician to support their growing infrastructure team. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in hardware installation, IT support, and telecommunications. As part of a high-performance team, the Data Center Technician will play a key role in supporting mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT and communication systems in a data center setting.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware issues including servers, cabling, and networking equipment.

  • Provide technical support and respond to customer inquiries via help desk tickets, live chat, or phone.

  • Communicate effectively with management and stakeholders on project timelines and issue resolution.

  • Travel occasionally to remote client sites for on-site equipment installation and maintenance.

  • Manage tasks under tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and high-pressure situations.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to test processes and infrastructure workflows.

  • Install and remove racks, rails, power strips, shelves, and structured cabling in server rooms.

  • Document and report any software or hardware deficiencies to the client’s technical teams.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in data center operations, telecommunications, or electrical engineering.

  • Familiarity with configuring, installing, and maintaining telecom and networking equipment.

  • Strong analytical thinking and technical troubleshooting abilities.

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for access to certain client facilities).
