Job Title: Data Center Technician

12 Month Contract, 100% On-Site

Location: Charlotte, NC

Requirements:

• 3-5-year practical experience working within Data Center environment and/or IT Infrastructure Support
• Hands-on experience with OSI Layer 1 network troubleshooting
• In-depth knowledge of fiber and copper cabling standards and practices
• Proficiency using cable testing tools for fiber and copper connections
• Experience with server and network hardware installation in data center environments
• Familiarity with structured cabling, including patch panel and trunk installation
• Ability to inspect, clean, and maintain fiber optic connections
• Experience with environmental monitoring and responding to physical alerts (e.g., high temps, audible alarms)
• Understanding of data center capacity planning (rack space, power, switch ports)
• Ability to follow and maintain strict labeling and documentation standards
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Physical ability to lift and install hardware as needed
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related discipline or equivalent direct work-related experience.

NICE TO HAVE:

• A+ Service Technician and/or CompTIA Server+ and/or CompTIA Network+
• Demonstrated ability to absorb change and continue to deliver positive results
