Job Title: Electrical Wireman

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Wireman to join our team in an industrial-commercial setting. You will be responsible for assembling large power distribution equipment, including control panels and switchboards for switchgear equipment, using your expertise in electrical assembly and wiring. This role involves working on intricate units that can take over a month to complete, utilizing schematics and performing conduit installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical assembly and wiring of control panels and switchboards for switchgear equipment.
• Utilize schematics to wire panels and units.
• Bend and install conduit (Rigid & EMT).
• Lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.

Essential Skills

• Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
• Ability to troubleshoot wiring and component application problems in switchgear equipment.
• Ownership of necessary electrical tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Conduit experience (Rigid or EMT) is a plus.
• Experience with switchgear is advantageous.
• Journeyman Card is beneficial.
• Commercial/residential electrical experience is considered.

Work Environment

Work in a newly renovated, clean, safe, and well-lit facility that is climate-controlled. Collaborate with mechanical assemblers and fabricators in a laid-back environment where teamwork is valued. The facility manufactures substations, switchgear, circuit breakers, bus duct, and many other electrical systems. Standard shift hours are Monday to Thursday, 5:30am - 3:30pm, with potential overtime on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
