SAVI EHS – Sterling, Virginia (On-site)

Compensation:

$45.00- $50.00 per hour

Position Overview

SAVI EHS is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to provide short-term coverage on a high-profile data center construction project in Sterling, VA. This assignment requires a seasoned safety professional with strong commercial construction experience and advanced safety credentials (e.g., OSHA 30, OSHA 510, OSHA 500, CSP, CHST, STSC, ASP, GSP, etc.).

The EHS Manager will support the Construction Manager and oversee day-to-day site safety operations during this coverage period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain full Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance for the project.
  • Conduct and document daily EHS inspections and walkthroughs.
  • Deliver site-specific EHS orientations to new personnel.
  • Assist in coordinating crane operations and critical lifts.
  • Participate in Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) reviews.
  • Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate closely with project leadership to promote an injury-free jobsite.
  • Track leading and lagging safety indicators and identify trends.
  • Review and support the development of EHS plans and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Verify craft workers are properly trained for their scopes of work.
  • Partner with subcontractor EHS teams and support the project’s safety leadership group.
  • Serve as liaison to the client’s risk management representatives.
  • Deliver EHS training modules and support positive reinforcement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of construction-focused EHS experience.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and standard safety reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting commercial or mission-critical construction sites.
