Job Title: PLC Programmer/Controls Department: Facility Maintenance Team Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Job Summary: A successful candidate will work with our computers that control the functions of machines based on inputs and outputs including designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial control systems that use programmable logic controllers (PLC's). Responsibility & Essential Functions: Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial controls and automation equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose control systems. Assist in the calibration and adjustment of equipment settings. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Document activities and report any issues to supervisors. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Ability to take ownership of projects; responsive and flexible to all project requests and reacts to any adjustments promptly and efficiently, effectively prioritizing needs and tasks. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with a strong analytical and technical aptitude. Ability to connect PLC with software and navigate software without help. Maintain knowledge of the machines and remain up to date on predictive maintenance guidelines. Diagnose problem issues with existing equipment/machinery. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all manners of electrical components. Ability to use computer systems to perform diagnostics on electrical components and PLC system. Perform any additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Skills: Understanding of industrial electrical systems Familiarity with electrical schematics 5 years' experience preferred PLC programming (writing/troubleshooting) Experience with Mitsubishi required PLC communication/integration (HMI/Servo) PLC robot control (Yaskawa) preferred Set electrical drawings Electronic control and repair Process improvement projects Knowledge of E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems Excellent command of written and spoken English Knowledge of various machine operations and production roles Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on occasion Analytical thinking Communication Knowledge of control programs Experience as Controls Tech/Engineer desired Travel: No travel required Benefits: Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) Company Paid Life Insurance Paid time off 10 Holidays Hankook & Company is an equal opportunity employer.
