Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Heavy Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating heavy-duty forklifts equipment to assist with material handling and placement in construction environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety focus, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Operation:
• Operate Heavy SkyTrak Forklifts equipment to move, lift, and place materials accurately and safely.
• Transport heavy loads such as construction materials, tools, and equipment across worksites.
• Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with company policies and OSHA safety standards.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections to maintain equipment functionality and safety.
• Material Handling:
• Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.
• Place materials in designated areas on-site, including elevated or hard-to-reach locations.
• Worksite Coordination:
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, crew members, and other operators to ensure smooth operations.
• Adapt to site conditions and tasks as required, including assisting with general labor when needed.
• Maintenance:
• Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
• Assist in routine equipment maintenance as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years operating Heavy SkyTrak forklifts equipment in a construction environment.
• Certification: OSHA certification or equivalent (a plus).
• Skills:
• Proficient in operating Heavy SkyTrak Forklifts.
• Strong understanding of load capacities and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and follow site plans and instructions.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
