Flexible scheduling, variety of assignments, and work-life balance; Contract, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions Online training, growth, and ability to earn CEUs; Tuition discounts through Rasmussen University; Sick pay, holiday pay, or other benefits Locally Owned and Operated Here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do: Care for the personal care and hygiene needs of patients in facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and hospitals Work with a team of physicians, RNs, LPNs and aides to deliver excellent patient care Help with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating and nutritional intake Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercises Check vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or equipment A few must-haves for Certified Nursing Assistants: High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in California Minimum of 1 year of HCA, CNA or HHA Care giving experience in a medical facility CPR certification Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
