A nocturnal hospitalist physician is responsible for responding to ER calls and admitting patients during overnight shifts at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. They manage patient care, coordinate with specialists, and ensure smooth transitions to daytime hospitalists. Participation in hospital committees and adherence to professional qualifications such as Texas medical licensure and board certification is required.
Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities are responding to ER calls and admitting patients in the assigned hospital(s) 7pm to 7am (number of shifts can be decided amongst the team to ensure coverage every night).
Qualifications
Active Texas medical license
Internal Medicine Board Certified or Board Eligible
