Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative with experience in metals and steel markets. The role focuses on customer management, business development, and coordinating with operations to deliver accurate solutions for clients. Pay will be based on knowledge and experience. #2931OS

Typical Responsibilities

• Client Management: Develop, build, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Business Development: Identify new sales opportunities and expand business within existing accounts.
• Market Expertise: Apply knowledge of the steel market, including bar, sheet, and structural products.
• Order Management: Process and manage customer orders, including custom cut specifications, pricing, and delivery scheduling.
• Coordination: Work closely with operations/production to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
• Customer Support: Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and offer solutions for product or service challenges.
• Sales Tracking: Maintain accurate records in CRM or order management systems, and report on sales activity and progress.

Required / Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in inside sales, industrial sales, or metals/steel distribution.
• Strong understanding of steel products, alloys, grades, and applications.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
