Pay: $58,000–$70,000 annual (based on experience)

Traynor’s Volvo in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking an Inventory Specialist to support Stock Room operations. The incumbent will manage receiving, storage, issuing, order tracking, and inventory control activities, and will support Safety, Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices, and preventative maintenance programs. This role requires strong computer and keyboarding skills and effective interaction with all levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive, unpack, verify, and store parts, tools, and equipment; maintain accurate records for orders and receipts.
• Issue and distribute items to technicians and other staff; may deliver tools or equipment to work locations as required.
• Place, expedite, and track purchase orders; monitor reorder points and manage stock replenishment.
• Maintain perpetual inventory and perform periodic inventory activities, including cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Inspect tools and equipment for defects or wear; mark, tag, or identify assets and report damage to supervision.
• Perform basic service, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on tools and equipment as needed.
• Use computer systems to record inventory transactions and support inventory control processes; maintain accurate documentation.
• Support safety programs and follow established procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and other applicable controls.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safe conditions within the stock room and work areas.

Required qualifications and skills:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer literacy: internet use, email (including attachments), and keyboarding proficiency.
• Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, work with whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety rules, procedure manuals, and maintenance instructions in English.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, power tools, and common measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and to interact professionally at all organizational levels.
• Ability to climb ladders, maneuver carts, and perform routine physical tasks associated with stock room duties.
• Familiarity with inventory control practices such as cycle counting and perpetual inventory methods.
• Knowledge of computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience inspecting or troubleshooting production machinery (e.g., fillers, rinsers, cappers, case packers).
• Familiarity with Lock-Out/Tag-Out Authorized, Hot Work, Confined Space, and HECP training or similar safety certifications.
• Experience operating manlifts or similar equipment.

Working conditions and expectations:

• Work is performed primarily in a stock room/warehouse environment with routine exposure to shop and equipment areas.
• Role involves regular physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling carts, and standing for extended periods.
• Accurate, timely recordkeeping and attention to detail are essential.
