We value work-life balance and offer a flexible corporate office environment.

About the Role:

We are also open to consider applicants who are located near one of our primary business locations on the East coast including the Philadelphia, PA area and the Greenville, SC area.

The IT Project Manager will lead and manage technology projects and daily operations within Oxford IT. This role will primarily support our applications team and data team, and will collaborate with other IT teams (such as infrastructure, data security and technology teams within our brands) to ensure coordination of projects and programs. The candidate will utilize project management tools (including JIRA) to develop detailed project plans, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement. Expertise and experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies is essential to navigate our hybrid project environment.

Project Leadership & Delivery:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, timelines, risk management strategies, and performance reports.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and blockers to keep projects on track.
Methodology & Team Management:
  • Apply a combination of agile and waterfall methodologies to meet project needs, adapting the approach based on each project's requirements.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies-including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives-while managing structured phases for waterfall projects.
  • Analyze project trends, capture lessons learned, and recommend improvements to project management processes and tools to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage team priorities and backlogs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate internal resources to meet project demands and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement by refining project management processes and tools based on lessons learned.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication:
  • Serve as liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on project goals, priorities, and resources.
  • Document and share project requirements, timelines, and risks to improve transparency and accountability.
Technical & Business Alignment:
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure business needs are translated into technical specifications, so that project deliverables meet both functional and technical standards.
  • Oversee quality assurance activities, testing, deployment planning, and the development of production support plans for smooth post-project transitions.

You will enjoy this job if you...
  • Excel in managing projects within applications and data environments.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Lead and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Solve problems analytically with a customer-focused mindset.

Who we would like to meet:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or other relevant field.
  • Proficient in project management software, with proven experience using JIRA.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both technical and business aspects of projects, employing both agile and waterfall methodologies in a hybrid project environment.
  • Experience in managing project budgets, ensuring cost control, and adjusting as needed to stay within financial constraints.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors.
  • Experience in change management and process optimization.
  • Certifications:
    • PMP certification or an equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
    • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are a plus.
