• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Worksite Location : Plymouth, MN
• Compensation : $25.00-$27.00 per hour

What you’ll do as a Lab Technician:

• Support research scientists in completing research projects and activities, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for the Starches and Sweeteners business and customers
• Conduct pilot trials and routine experiments, organizing and communicating results, and providing routine analysis to support the team’s objectives
• Maintain pilot/laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and readiness for use in experiments and trials
• Ensure compliance with corporate EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards and Food Safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment at all times
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, assisting in various aspects of the research and piloting process as needed

What you’ll bring to the Lab Technician role:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioproducts and Biosystems Engineering, Food Science, or a related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness
• Demonstrated commitment to safety in the work environment
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
• Ability to execute designed experiments, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary corrections during experimentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
