Position Summary:
The Emergency Response Logistics Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the logistics and coordination efforts during emergency storm response operations. The role is tasked with developing and standardizing processes to streamline emergency response logistics, from crew roster creation, accommodation arrangements to transportation planning and software utilization for outbound electronic communications to crews. Reporting to the Director Storm Operations, this individual is responsible for ensuring timely storm call outs, roster build, crew confirmation, equipment allocation and proper roster submission to the Utility. They will act as a liaison for safe mobilization/deployment of crews, and ensuring communication between GMB Storm Operations and resources deployed to affected areas is clear, and timely. Additionally, they will assist with ensuring daily crew reporting requirements are met (i.e. timekeeping), proper demobilization or reallocation of men to sequential storm work is properly and safely orchestrated. They will perform debriefs after storms to gather feedback and ensure continuous improvement in future response processes. The Emergency Response logistics manager ensures that all logistical operations run smoothly, safely, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, contributing to the overall success of GMB Power Line Services, LLC. This role is an “on call” position and will work closely with our Director Storm Operations.
