Job Description

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be a crucial member of the clinical team, providing safe, evidence-based care to patients. Your role will involve exceptional support and the ability to anticipate the needs of clinicians and patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, document, and communicate patients' vital statistics and measurements.

• Observe and note any physical or emotional changes in patients.

• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.

• Select, prepare, and manage medical supplies and equipment.

• Ensure the patient environment is comfortable, organized, safe, and hygienic.

• Maintain accurate records of patient information.

• Prepare patients for follow-up care post-treatment.

• Potentially guide and educate other LPNs.

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on nursing-related issues.

• Organize and manage scheduling for patients and necessary medical tests.

Essential Skills

• Proven ability to thrive in dynamic, multi-specialty medical settings.

• LPN License in the state of NY.

• Attendance and reliability.

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

• 1-2 years of medical office experience.

• Experience with patient demographics and patient information management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of LPN experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Internal Medicine department located in Poughkeepsie, 243 N. Road. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
