Job Description

Our client, a leading provider in the automotive service industry, is seeking a Mechanic Assistant to join their team. As a Mechanic Assistant, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting skilled mechanics. The ideal candidate will have a strong willingness to learn, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanic Assistant

Location: Middletown, NY

Pay Range: $22 per hour

What's the Job?

• Assist with truck maintenance jobs, including oil changes and brake pad replacements.
• Support mechanics during more complicated repair jobs.
• Change tires and perform tune-ups on various vehicles.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.
• Learn and apply knowledge of gasoline and diesel equipment.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an Auto Repair Program preferred but not mandatory.
• Some experience with fixing and maintaining vehicles is a plus.
• Familiarity with general workings of car, truck, and tractor engines.
• A strong willingness to learn and grow in the automotive field.
