Job Description Originates mortgage loans in an assigned metropolitan area. Takes applications, conducts preliminary underwriting reviews, and submits loan applications for approval. Follows up to ensure necessary documents are collected in a timely manner. Engages in loan sales and related activities, often outside U.S. Bank locations. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including background and credit checks. Failure to maintain registration requirements may lead to employment termination. This role has multiple levels, suitable for candidates with at least one year of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience. The appropriate level will be determined based on your experience. This position is posted as remote; however, candidates near U.S. Bank locations are expected to work on-site at least three days per week. The role also requires driving for 2 or more hours weekly.
