Roles and Responsibilities:
Supporting NOC operations for continuous monitoring of IT Infrastructure and services.
Monitoring the infrastructure like Compute, Network, Database & Applications
Analyze alerts to determine server, database, application, and network failures.
Analyzing the incidents occurred based on each category and provide proper support.
Proactive alerting and notifying stake holders during critical incidents and escalations.
Ensure the 24/7/365 availability of all Windows servers and applications
Design and implement technical expertise when necessary.
Perform server restarts as required, ensuring the proper functioning of servers and related services.
Start and stop services as needed, managing the availability and usage of critical applications and resources. Add compute resources such as memory and disk to meet changing demands and optimize system performance.
Perform regular disk cleanup tasks to free up storage space and maintain efficient operations.
Troubleshoot VM slowness, identifying potential causes and implementing corrective actions to enhance performance.
Provide local server access support, assisting with administrative tasks that require direct server access.
Manage VM creation, destruction, and snapshots, ensuring efficient resource allocation and backup/recovery options.
Install, upgrade, and uninstall software as needed, ensuring the availability of the required applications and removing unnecessary ones.
Install and upgrade agents to enable monitoring, management, and security on relevant systems and devices.
Monitor device status and running services to ensure proper functioning and availability of network devices.
Perform configuration updates and versioning to maintain accurate and up-to-date network configurations. Configure monitoring services like SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) to gather network performance data and detect network issues.
Triage network outages or degraded performance, promptly identifying the root cause and taking appropriate measures to restore normal operations.
Configure remote access services like SSH (Secure Shell) and Telnet to enable secure remote management and troubleshooting of network devices.
Participate in and manage network changes, ensuring proper planning, documentation, and implementation of network configuration changes.
Add network devices to the existing environment, including configuration, testing, and integration with the network infrastructure.
Trace traffic flow to troubleshoot network connectivity issues, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network performance.
Validating for desired performance and health status of all monitoring tools deployed.
Logging of incidents and events based on appropriate categories using ticketing tool and assigning it to the appropriate stake holders for resolution.
Notifying incidents events using appropriate communication channels. Organizational skills

Knowledge on monitoring tools, such as Logic Monitor, Solarwinds and ITSM tools like Servicenow, Jira.
Understanding of key network protocols such as SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, syslog, etc.
Ability to assess faults, prioritize, respond and escalate accordingly.
Basic knowledge on primary troubleshooting of server, network, database and application related issues.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Capable of multi-tasking, good time management and prioritization of workload.
Basic knowledge of the OSI model, switching and internet routing technologies.
Willing to learn and develop new skills, Ability to work on own initiative.
Actively encourage strong working relationships with other team members.
Networking Fundamentals: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
Switching and Routing: Proficiency in configuring and managing network switches, routers, and firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
Wireless Networking: Experience with WLAN and wireless access point management.
Network Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
Security: Knowledge of network security protocols, VPN configuration, and firewall management. Qualification and Educational requirements
