In this critical role, you'll oversee a team of seven professionals, manage complex mortgage processes, and ensure seamless execution of loan operations from processing to post-closing. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all facets of mortgage operations, including processing, underwriting, and closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every stage. Lead, mentor, and support a team of seven operational staff members, fostering an environment of collaboration and high performance. Develop and refine workflows, implementing strategic process improvements to drive efficiency and service excellence. Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, internal policies, and investor guidelines to maintain the integrity of operations. Collaborate closely with the sales team to streamline the transition and sale of closed loans to the secondary market. Monitor and manage key performance indicators, addressing challenges proactively to achieve organizational goals. Facilitate training and cross-training of team members to ensure operational continuity and adaptability. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in mortgage operations, with a background as an operations manager, underwriter, or processor. In-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry, including loan programs, regulatory compliance, and secondary market sales. Demonstrated leadership ability, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on operational efficiency and quality control. Proficiency in mortgage-related software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
