Optical Hardware Validation Engineer
Job Summary
The Electrical / Optical Hardware Validation Engineer is responsible for conducting electrical and optical performance testing/validation of various optoelectronic package assemblies for lasers, VSCELs, EML, DFB, Silicon Photonics transceiver modules. NRZ, PAM4 Optical Signaling validation Development of Hardware Qualification Process for current and future technologies.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Directly supervises employee
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications and Experience:
· BS or MS in physics, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
· Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Knowledge of basic electronic circuitry
· Aware of MSA and SFF Standards as related to Optical Transceiver Products
· Experience with Optical Signaling Methods, NRZ, PAM4 and Coherent
· Experience with equipment used in electro-optic testing such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, supplies, polarimeter, TECs (Thermo-Electric Coolers) & controllers.
Working knowledge on various instruments like bit error rate tester, network traffic analyzer, digital communication analyzer, real time oscilloscope, and optical spectrum analyzer. MultiLane, Keysight or Others
· Experience handling single mode, multimode fiber, and their associated connectors
· Good planning and organizational skills
· Team player with excellent verbal & written communications skills including the ability to work effectively across teams at multiple international sites.

Pay Transparency: The starting annual salary for this opportunity ranges from $120,000-$180,000. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance. Company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including medical, dental and vision insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO). Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position. It assumes a rate based on location and experience.
