Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our client’s growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
*Responsibilities:*
* Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients with chronic pain conditions.
* Collect and analyze patient medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
* Develop personalized and evidence-based treatment plans for pain management, integrating pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic patient care.
* Prescribe and manage medications for pain relief, considering the patient's overall health and potential side effects.
* Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on patient response and treatment goals.
* Perform or assist in various interventional pain procedures, such as injections or nerve blocks, as part of the comprehensive pain management strategy.
* Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
* Provide clear and understandable instructions on medications, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
* Work closely with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
* Communicate effectively with patients, addressing questions, concerns, and providing ongoing support.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, treatments, and progress.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of pain management services.
* Stay informed about the latest advancements in pain management and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical care.
*Requirements:*
* Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner.
* Current NY licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong collaborative and team-oriented approach to patient care.
* Ability to work effectively with a diverse healthcare team.
* At least 1 year of clinical experience.
* Spanish speaking highly preferred.
_Please note- The annual base salary range is $140k to $160k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer._
