Hours Per Week: 24

Location: Headquartered in Odessa, FL (approx. 20 miles NW of Tampa). Will consider candidates who permanently reside in: Tampa, Lutz, Carrollwood, Citrus Park, Pinellas County, and south Pasco County. This position would require coming into the Odessa office at least 1 day per week and meeting in-person as needed, at office or other remote locations in Tampa Bay area.

Desired Majors: Marketing or Business with Marketing concentration. Will consider other majors if the candidate has relevant experience.

Position Description:

We are seeking a mid-level marketing specialist who will help the organization grow to the next level by utilizing their marketing skills and focusing on lead generation & branding. The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual contributor with critical thinking skills who can work with little supervision while helping to grow the company toward the vision set by the company’s principals. Candidates should have a marketing degree or equivalent experience and be driven to excel while seeking and embracing innovative ideas as well as digital trends and concepts. It is strongly preferred that the person’s marketing experience has been in the B2B market.

Candidates should have strong writing skills, be creative, and be adept at adopting the company’s tone and style. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for working with the CEO (and other leadership) to drive the overall marketing efforts within the vision of the company's principals.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Writing & editing content for websites, emails, newsletters, social media, blogs, and assisting with the development of infographics, videos, and podcasts
  • Managing and initiating social media blasts and blurbs of new events, news updates and activities via Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Spotify, etc.
  • Utilizing Gen AI solutions effectively to improve marketing strategy and increase marketing productivity
  • Managing content of the website, which will include working with webmaster to edit and update photos, videos and blogs
  • Monitoring marketing performance, identifying areas for improvement and helping implement changes to improve performance metrics
  • Marketing and communicating materials to increase client awareness and communicating with client base
  • Researching the latest marketing trends and effective techniques
  • Internal communication with management and external communication with partners and, in some cases, clients
  • Monitoring and assisting with the coordination of, and periodically attending, relevant events and tradeshows

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • Recent graduate, or entry-level candidate, with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or equivalent experience
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent grammar, spelling and editing skills
  • Strong Experience using social media – LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, etc.

  • Comfortable with changes in priorities, responsibilities, and projects

Additional Skills and Experience (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in a sales and marketing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEO (search engine optimization), Google AdWords, and Google Analytics
