PARTS MANAGER at TAYLOR GRUBAUGH CHEVROLET of Waynesville
Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet of Waynesville is a leading General Motors dealership dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and providing genuine GM parts and accessories. We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Parts Manager to oversee our parts department, optimize inventory, and ensure an outstanding experience for both retail and internal customers.
Position Overview
The Parts Manager will be responsible for the overall operations of the parts department, including inventory management, team leadership, vendor relations, and ensuring efficiency in servicing both service technicians and retail customers. The ideal candidate will have prior GM dealership experience, a strong background in parts management, and excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the GM parts department.
Manage inventory levels, ordering, and returns to ensure accuracy and profitability.
Supervise, train, and motivate parts staff to achieve department goals.
Build and maintain strong vendor and manufacturer relationships.
Support service technicians and body shop personnel with accurate and timely parts supply.
Monitor financial performance, including sales growth, gross profit, and expense control.
Ensure compliance with all GM policies, warranty procedures, and dealership standards.
Deliver outstanding customer service for retail and wholesale customers.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager (GM dealership preferred).
Strong knowledge of parts and electronic parts catalog systems.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
