Minimum Qualifications:

• Base knowledge of the importance of strength training.
• Average athletic ability.
• Enjoys working with people and helping them lead healthier lives.
• Accountable, punctual, and friendly.

Preferred Skills

• Currently active in a solid lifting regimen.
• Capable of executing proper strength training technique.
• Solid knowledge about balanced strength training programs.
• Understands muscle failure, balanced routines and rest days.
• Personal Training Certified.
• Experience in personal training.

Job Duties

• Good communication with clients for accessing and setting up training dates.
• Learning and developing safe and balanced programs that suit the client.
• Dependable and punctual for each of a clients sessions.
• Assessing each program for progression and routine changes.
• Keeping records of clients payment/punch cards.

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a background check.
• All staff must obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire (training provided at YMCA cost).

Flexible hours to fit your schedule and clients when the Y is open 4:30am-9:00pm Monday - Friday, 7:00am-5:00pm Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm Sunday.
