Central Missouri Newspapers, Inc. (CMNI) is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Production Director to lead our production team. As Production Director, you will provide strategic direction, foster a culture of safety and excellence, and drive operational efficiency across all production functions. You will oversee and mentor production staff, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing time and attendance, maintaining equipment and postal operations, implementing effective waste reduction strategies, and ensuring seamless workflow throughout the department. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, proactively resolve challenges, and prepare to step into supervisory roles as needed. Essential Duties:
The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree and substantial experience in commercial printing. Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws, OSHA and safety regulations, and postal guidelines is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
