Professional Pet Friends is a Knoxville-based pet care company providing enrichment-focused dog walks and in-home pet sitting. We're known for our reliability, compassion, and professionalism and we want team members who share the same values.

This role is a great fit for:

• Veterinary technicians, vet tech students , or animal science students looking for flexible hours
• Kennel, shelter, or daycare attendants seeking 1:1 pet care experience
• Groomers or trainers wanting supplemental income
• Experienced pet sitters or dog walkers ready to join a supportive team

Qualifications

• 21+ years old with a high school diploma (or equivalent)
• 6+ months of professional animal care experience (vet clinic, grooming, shelter, kennel, training, or pet sitting)
• Reliable vehicle + valid driver's license
• Smartphone with GPS and reliable service
• Responsible, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently and outdoors in all weather
• Passionate about animals and committed to their wellbeing

• Competitive pay $14.50$16.50/hr to start (based on experience)

Your Role

• Provide professional, one-on-one care for dogs, cats & other household pets
• Administer medications, follow detailed feeding & care instructions
• Ensure enrichment through structured walks, exercise & playtime
• Keep clients informed with clear updates and photos using our pet care software
• Safely travel between client homes (mileage reimbursed)
• Uphold our company's standards of reliability, compassion & professionalism

Schedule

• Part-time: 1020 hrs/week to start, with growth potential
• Shifts typically 46 hours
• Peak availability needed:
• Mornings: 7am2pm, weekdays or weekends
• Evenings: 4pm10pm, weekdays or weekends
• Consistent and consecutive-day availability is preferred
