Job Description
The Pathobiology Lab Operations Group is seeking an experienced Histology Technician to enhance the pathology and translational research efforts. The ideal candidate will bring advanced expertise in histological procedures, including tissue processing, staining techniques, and digital pathology, to support our drug development pipeline. This role is crucial for maintaining the laboratory’s high standards, driving excellence in both histology and data management, and delivering exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.
Required Years of Experience:
• 5+ years of Histology experience
Required Degree or Certification:
• Certification as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology OR Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or a related life science field
Top 3 Required Skill Sets:
• Expertise in Advanced Histology Techniques and Equipment
• Strong Quality Control and Lab Management Experience
• Exceptional Analytical Skills and meticulous Attention to Detail
Top 3 Nice to have Skill Sets:

Core Qualifications
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, Pathology, or a related Life Science field.
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant histology experience

What You Will Be Doing
• Oversee tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and high-resolution scanning, ensuring high-quality specimen preparation and accurate digital capture.
• Manage histology requests from receipt to completion, providing timely communication, insightful feedback, and outstanding customer service.
• Oversee samples management logistics for clinical and non-clinical samples, ensuring compliance with protocols.
• Implement QC measures for histological integrity, covering equipment upkeep, standard practices, accurate sample handling, issue resolution, and data accuracy checks.
• Provide guidance and support to R&D scientists on histology techniques and upholding laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
