We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($48-55/hour) to support elementary and middle school students in the Aurora, IL area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications:
  • You will need to hold a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy 
  • Active IL OT License
  • Previous school-based experience preferred 

Role Overview: 

As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development. 

 
Job Details:  

  • In-person position in the vicinity of Aurora, IL (East side) 
  • Paid orientation days on August 4-5 with school calendar start mid-August
  • You will work with a caseload with primarily elementary students, some middle school--caseloads and calendar are being finalized
  • Caseload is regular ed and resource classrooms plus some self-contained students 
  • You'll work alongside a team of therapists including other OTs, as well as SLP, Social workers and school psychologists 
  • Mentorship is available, this is a great training ground with a supportive team and invested supervision 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans. 
  • Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals. 
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs. 
  • Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
