ssignment: ServiceNow Developer Category/Level*: J/2 Term of Assignment: 8 weeks Equipment needs? Contractor and/or contracting company to provide laptop to perform the duties listed in this document. MFA authentication will need to be available on any devices connected to the Sound Transit network. General Summary: Under general direction of the Deputy Director, IT Service Delivery, this position will support the day-to-day
operations and maintenance of Sound Transit's ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on platform configuration,
user support, and ensuring the smooth operation of ServiceNow. Essential Functions:
- Support and Troubleshoot:
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow platform issues.
- Resolve incidents, problems, and catalog (request) tasks related to ServiceNow.
- Support general user inquiries on system usage such as (but not limited to) core ITSM modules, reporting, access and minor data changes.
- Development
- Work in ServiceNow's agile module to complete development work as assigned by the Deputy Director
- Develop requested functionality with the ITSM modules (Incident, Request, Changes, etc).
- Follow defined Sound Transit's ServiceNow development guidelines
- Configure forms, fields, tables, and workflows using ServiceNow's built-in tools (e.g., Flow Designer, UI Policies, Catalog Items, etc.)
- Provide demos of developed functionality as needed.
- Deploy developed functionality following Sound Transit's change management process.
- Documentation and Knowledge Transfer :
- Document any development work in assigned agile stories
- Capture resolution or closure notes in incidents, problems, and catalog (request) tasks.
- Collaboration :
- Work closely with IT Service Delivery to clarify any requirements or questions from day to day support or development work.
- Participate in daily sprint meetings to keep everyone up to date on work accomplished in the last day and what will be worked on in the coming day.
Deliverables:
- ServiceNow assigned tasks :
- Completed stories for development as assigned by the deputy directory.
- Resolved or closed incidents and catalog task as assigned.
- Technical Documentation :
- Documentation for any story work completed.
- Knowledge Transfer Sessions :
- Sessions with Sound Transit development staff at end of engagement.
Special / Additional Qualifications (Over Role/ Category Level) Education & Experience: 2-5 years of ServiceNow development experience Required Licenses or Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certification Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work will be performed vi remote office.
- Could be subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
