Description:
The position is hybrid in that we anticipate that the incumbent will primarily telework with occasional in-person customer/partner meetings. Prefer someone local.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and experienced ServiceNow Developer to work with our lead developer and system administrator. This role involves configuring ServiceNow applications, creating and automating workflows, and integrating third-party systems to enhance our operational capabilities. The commitment would be initially for 10 months, with the possibility of an extension dependent on available funding. This project-based assignment would include re-designing a customer-centric Service Catalog and integrating AI Search capabilities.

Background:

Our client implemented ServiceNow 5 years ago for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, Request Fulfillment, and Knowledge Management. We recently worked with ServiceNow for a health check and optimization assessment of our system and are seeking a developer experienced in ServiceNow to assist our lead developer and system administrator with improving and expanding the use of the product.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and configure ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, Web Services, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS.
• Customize and configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows.
• Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs.
• Perform application maintenance, manage support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and contribute to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to capture business and user requirements and develop elegant solutions that meet those needs.
• Provide input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals.
• Prepare reports on analyses and system performance issues and determine performance enhancements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field is desired. Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Service Now System Administration and/or Application Developer certification
• Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow data model and relationships.
• 3-5 years Significant experience in ServiceNow test, development, and production environments.
• Significant experience capturing user stories, working through a ServiceNow backlog, and delivering to meet user requirements.
• Experience with Configuration Management (CMDB), LDAP integration, and custom scripting.
• Minimum of three years’ experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including the creation and/or customization of core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, Service Catalog, and Hardware Asset Management.
• Significant experience developing workflows in Workflow Editor and Flow Designer.
• Proficient with custom web services, custom notifications, assessments, and custom applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills :
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, AWS Redshift).
• ITIL, ITSM, or other relevant certifications.
