Software Engineer

12-month Contract

Hybrid in Newton, MA

Must be able to work on a W2

Responsibilities

• Design and implement application software for a surgical robotics product.
• Utilize development best practices, including continuous software testing.
• Acquire and maintain domain expertise of relevant software technologies and products.
• Collaborate with systems engineering and software QA teams to generate software requirements, design specifications, and support software test methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing application software.
• Medical device software experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Demonstrated skills in Object-Oriented Design and Analysis using UML.
• Familiarity with agile software development.

Nice to Have

• Experience with complex state machines preferred.
• Experience with GUI frameworks such as Qt or WPF preferred.
• Experience with multi-threaded software deployment preferred.
• Experience developing medical device software within FDA, ISO, or IEC guidelines preferred.
