Job Description

Software Engineer

12-month Contract

Hybrid in Newton, MA

Must be able to work on a W2

Responsibilities

Design and implement application software for a surgical robotics product.
Utilize development best practices, including continuous software testing.
Acquire and maintain domain expertise of relevant software technologies and products.
Collaborate with systems engineering and software QA teams to generate software requirements, design specifications, and support software test methods.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing application software.
Medical device software experience is a plus, but not required
Strong proficiency in C++.
Demonstrated skills in Object-Oriented Design and Analysis using UML.
Familiarity with agile software development.

Nice to Have

Experience with complex state machines preferred.
Experience with GUI frameworks such as Qt or WPF preferred.
Experience with multi-threaded software deployment preferred.
Experience developing medical device software within FDA, ISO, or IEC guidelines preferred.
