Senior Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigator

Our client is seeking two Senior Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigators to join the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Workplace Culture. This role requires a dedicated professional with deep knowledge of EEO laws and regulations, strong investigative skills, and the ability to foster an inclusive work environment. The Senior EEO Investigator will conduct investigations into employment discrimination complaints, provide counseling and guidance on EEO best practices, and deliver targeted training programs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and the ability to manage sensitive matters effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct EEO investigations, including fact-finding interviews, credibility assessments, and analysis of documentary evidence to reach logical conclusions.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports of investigative findings.
  • Counsel and recommend solutions for internal and external complaints of discrimination, harassment, or policy violations.
  • Participate in mediations, hearings, and conferences with government agencies or internal arbitration as required.
  • Research and stay current on EEO/AA laws and regulations; provide updates and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Deliver targeted EEO training and awareness programs on topics such as discrimination, harassment, compliance, and workplace respect.
  • Provide advice and counsel to HR partners and employees on EEO-related policies and procedures.
  • Engage with management, union employees, government representatives, and other stakeholders professionally and tactfully.
  • Demonstrate discretion and diplomacy when communicating sensitive information.
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
  • Respond to company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of direct experience in EEO investigations and complaint handling.
  • In-depth knowledge of current EEO laws and regulations and experience advising on best practices.
  • Expertise in investigative techniques, case management, and credibility assessment.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and ensure timely resolution with a focus on customer experience.
  • Strong written communication skills for preparing clear and concise investigative reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Ability to lead and manage projects as assigned.

Education

  • Master's degree preferred in Labor and Employment Law, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management, or a related field.
