Tax Manager

-This is with a Public Accounting Firm and requires Public Accounting experience as well as an active CPA license- 

Job Title:  Tax Manager
Job Location: Hybrid (possibility for remote depending on exp.)
Job Salary: $120k-$180k
Requirements: 5+ Years of Public Accounting Tax Experience

Position Overview
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and planning for the firm, with a focus on alternative investments. This role involves managing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and providing expert guidance to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of tax returns for various alternative investment entities
• Develop and implement tax strategies for clients in hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital
• Provide tax planning services and advice to clients
• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations affecting alternative investments
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business and tax needs
• Supervise and mentor junior tax staff members
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably with a focus on alternative investments
• Strong understanding of tax regulations related to hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
