Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Technician (CNC/Brake Press). The hourly rate for this position is $21 - $23 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
HOURS: 6AM - 2:30PM.

What you'll do: The Production Technician (Fabrication) is responsible for precise fabrication of copper and aluminum busbars using CNC and brake press machines for installation in electrical control equipment. Perform bus fabrication, preparation, and layout builds for switchboard assemblies. Use established procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled. Perform all assignments within acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.
\n - Operate CNC machine and brake press to cut, punch, and bend copper & aluminum busbars
\n - Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to ensure accuracy
\n - Regularly set up equipment and perform tool die changes and inspections
\n - Inspect finished bus components for quality and dimensional accuracy
\n - Actively participate and demonstrate competency in health and safety training
\n - Maintain equipment, tools, and work area per established 5S guidelines.
\n - Flex into other areas of production assembly as needed per business need.
\n - Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: \n - Must have a minimum of one year CNC or fabrication experience
\n - No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications: \n - High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
\n - Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or related work environment (mechanical and electrical assembly a plus CNC bus fabrication, press brake, or related experience
\n - Experience using various tools including: manual/electric/pneumatic tools, drill press, press brake, fork truck, jib crane, template/fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage/packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment

Skills: Position Criteria: • Must be able to interact and contribute in a small team environment and ability to flex according to production demands
• Lift 35 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading)
• Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions
• Keep yourself and teammates aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employee work practices and incorporating safety
• Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received
