This position plays a critical role in developing traffic control plans, signal design, and simulations that improve mobility and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and analysis of traffic signal systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and guidelines. Prepare traffic control and striping plans, including detour layouts and construction phasing. Conduct traffic modeling and simulation using tools such as SYNCHRO and RapidPlan. Analyze traffic flow and operational efficiency for intersections and corridors. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, municipalities, and transportation agencies to deliver comprehensive traffic solutions. Qualifications: BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 5+ years of traffic engineering experience, preferably in a consulting or municipal setting. Proficiency in SYNCHRO, RapidPlan, and other traffic modeling and simulation software. Strong understanding of traffic signal design, timing plans, and roadway operations. Excellent communication and coordination skills for client and agency interaction.
