\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
\n• Night shifts with weekends as scheduled
\n• Every other weekend requirement for travelers
\n• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday
\n• Self-scheduling allowed with block schedules accommodated when unit needs are met
\n• Average patient ratios 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
\n• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
\n• Must be able to read cardiac strips and be comfortable with cardiac patients
\n• Required to titrate Heparin drips and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
\n• Must perform own admissions and discharges (8-12 per day)
\n• Required to perform EKGs when PCT unable to assist
\n• Floating requirements include rotation anywhere in hospital within skillset
\n• Royal blue scrubs required - scrub jackets must be actual scrub jackets, no hoodies
\n• Orientation includes 1 day computer training and 1 day floor shadowing with preceptor
\n• Care for post heart catheterization patients, CHF, COPD, post pacemaker patients, and cardiac arrhythmias
\n• EPIC charting system
\n• Unexpired driver's license copy required for submission
\n• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week assignment

The facility operates a comprehensive cardiac program with monitor technicians and serves as the central monitoring station for the entire North Tower.
