Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Joliet, Illinois.

Job Overview:
This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working in the Cardiac Cath Lab , with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred . The RN will provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures, ensuring safe, coordinated, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care following hospital policies and clinical protocols
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans
• Continuously assess patient condition and document and communicate changes
• Act as the primary coordinator between physicians, technicians, and other care team members
• Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and promptly
• Advocate for patients throughout their care experience
• Assist with discharge planning and coordinate follow-up needs with the healthcare team

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license (IDFPR)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)
• 1–2 years of relevant RN experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience – required
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience – strongly preferred

On-Call Requirements:

• Call coverage every 3rd weekend
• Minimum of 16 on-call shifts within a 6-week period

• Strong cardiac and interventional nursing skills
• Excellent communication and care-coordination abilities
• Flexible and reliable for on-call coverage
