VeeAR Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Alpena, Michigan.

Shift Notes: Days: The week would consist of 4/10’s (0700-1730) or 5/8’s (0700-1530) depending on the week need // Float to other units required depending on skill set // 40 Hour Guarantee
Weekend Requirements: Weekends and holidays would be only for call coverage
On Call Requirements: Call requirements with 12 days/month
Job Description:
This position cares for patients before, during and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. This position cares for Structural heart, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic / planned intervention Neuro, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients. This includes pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of procedural process, post-procedure care and patient education.

Responsibilities
(35%) *Performs nursing care of the cardiac catheterization, Structural heart, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic / planned intervention Neuro, Vascular and EP pacemaker / device patients.
(35%) *Calculates cardiac output, performs hemodynamic monitoring, Procedural set up and operates lifesaving equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, etc. Transfers patients, stocks supplies and performs basic office procedures. Scrubbing cases.
(15%) *Records all pertinent information on appropriate data sheets.
(15%) *Assists Radiologic Technologists circulate cases, sterically drop procedural supplies on tray.
Submission Requirements

This position is listed as Cath Lab, but the expectation is that they would also be helping to cover and provide nursing support to our IR procedures and pre/post procedure care.
Cath Lab Experience - [REQUIRED]
Interventional Radiology experience - [PREFERRED]
Experience in Electrophysiology - [PREFERRED]
Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation - [PREFERRED]
Knowledge & operation of intra-aortic balloon pump - [PREFERRED]
Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction) - Required
Certification Requirements

ACLS (AHA)
BLS (AHA)
State License Requirements

VeeAR Health Job ID #64378. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
