Job Details

• Administers blood products, IV fluids, medications, chemotherapy agents, biotherapy agents, immunotherapy agents, analgesics, and hematopoietic growth factors to oncology patients following age-specific guidelines and standards.
• Provides direct care to patients by conducting a patient history and assessment including symptoms, performance status score, and clinical changes from the last visit and formulates a plan of care for patients and families.
• Reviews patients’ medications and vital signs including pain on each visit to the clinic and plans nursing interventions.
• Provides patient education as needed.
• Collaborates with other healthcare providers to meet the patient’s personal, physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cognitive needs.

Job Requirements

• Must have Maryland RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Prefer a minimum of 2 years oncology infusion experience
• OCN preferred

Schedule Information

• Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm
• No weekends

Unit Specific Information

• Will be paired with preceptor/charge RN for orientation
• No floating to other units/departments
