About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Compliance Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and evolution of a comprehensive compliance management system program. This program is designed to ensure the company's adherence to all applicable federal, state, and agency regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. The role involves quality assurance, testing, and monitoring to prevent compliance violations and mitigate risk. The Compliance Officer will also be tasked with managing and executing the duties of compliance personnel, overseeing regulatory change management, and providing support to business units on compliance-related matters. Applicants must have a four-year college degree or a specialized course of study/certification in a related field, with at least 8 years of financial industry experience in a credit union, bank, or compliance/risk-related field. The role requires a deep knowledge of regulatory guidelines, strong research and analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Compliance Officer will be expected to have a proactive approach, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and to maintain control in high-stress situations. Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with various stakeholders in a professional manner are essential. The position also involves supervisory responsibilities, including personnel performance evaluations and training.
