About the Role
As Vice President of Regional Construction Operations for The Boldt Company, you will provide leadership and oversight for the successful delivery of all construction projects within your assigned Operating Group, Division, or Office. Working closely with the General Manager, Regional Safety leader, and other operational leaders, you will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will also ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Practices (SOPs) and Standard Work (SW). Your role includes communicating organizational strategy, motivating teams, and driving business results aligned with Boldts mission, vision, and values.
Construction Operations 55%
- Support OneBoldt strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for your Operating Group/Division.
- Collaborate with the Regional General Manager and enterprise Operations Leaders to develop consistent metrics for measuring and evaluating project performance across the division.
- Work closely with construction delivery leaders and project teams to develop and monitor Construction Readiness Programs, including comprehensive production plans that meet or exceed project objectives.
- Guide project planning efforts and anchor the teams influence on the supply chain of individual scopes of work.
- Lead complex information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities; specify, negotiate, and agree on program and project deliverables, ensuring integration across the construction program and with the enterprise construction portfolio.
- Lead negotiation and deployment of substantial annual and longterm project resource budgets, providing forecasts, variances, and narrative at appropriate review points.
- Serve as a resource for project teams facing challenges to achieve satisfactory results.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and create process improvements across the Operating Group/Division.
- Ensure projects are properly staffed and reallocate resources to improve efficiencies where appropriate.
- Collaborate with other Operating Groups to build the spirit of OneBoldt and coordinate the successful execution of all projects.
- Lead monthly Project Execution Assessment (PEA) for all projects and participate in monthly corporate PEA review meetings.
- Participate in the development and implementation of SOPs and SW, ensuring adherence at all levels.
- Support, supervise, and maintain positive labor relations in conjunction with corporate labor relations resources and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain proper project execution business practices and monitoring.
People Leadership 25%
- Identify and manage Operations teams up to top management level, addressing needs, issues, and concerns through engagement plans.
- Define a detailed organization structure for Operations aligned with OneBoldt principles; coach senior managers to enable the Operating Group/Division to achieve business objectives.
- Develop longterm staffing plans, including talent acquisition and development.
- Lead, coach, supervise, and mentor employees to attain their and Boldts goals.
- Cultivate an environment where diversity, equity, and inclusion are core beliefs and evident in daytoday behaviors.
- Actively engage in recruitment, retention, development, and education of the team.
- Complete employee performance reviews.
- Coach around the five virtues: Humble, Hungry, Smart, Reliable, and Gritty.
- Model relationshipbased contracting in interactions and conflict resolution.
Business Development 20%
- Develop and gain agreement for annual Operating Group or Division strategic plans, ensuring alignment with OneBoldt strategy; quantify business outcomes (revenues or other KPIs); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects.
- Work alongside the team to identify new markets, develop teams, and assist in business development.
- Identify new opportunities with existing and new customers and build personal working relationships.
- Establish communication plans for each project within the Operating Group or Division to ensure regular touchpoints with customer teams.
- Represent Boldt in industry, institutional, and professional forums, boards, and committees to promote the Boldt brand and presence.
What We Expect From You
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Design, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in Construction, Design, Scheduling, Cost Control, and Management.
- Technical expertise on how projects are constructed.
- Ability to communicate across a wide range of individuals from craft workers to executives.
- Comprehensive understanding of successful project delivery, including financial data, production planning, lean process improvement, and team relationships.
- Innovative management techniques to inspire and empower teams to achieve results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Boldt and industry practices.
- Valid drivers license may be required; annual Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check may apply.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
The employee may be required to move objects, operate tools, use a computer keyboard, maneuver in confined spaces, remain stationary and move to access machinery or people, ascend/descend ladders, lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The role requires regular travel, both as driver and passenger, and work on construction sites. Conditions may involve heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid environments, loud noises, and exposure to harmful materials. Personal protective equipment is frequently required. Overtime and weekend work may be requested.

Salary and Location
The anticipated salary range is $190,935.00 $305,467.00, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is based in SanFrancisco, CA; salary may vary for other locations.
