Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Bookkeeper/tax preparer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Accounting department to maintain accurate financial records and ensure the companys compliance with all legal requirements. Your responsibilities will include recording and verifying transactions, reconciling accounts, bringing the books to the trial balance stage and completing both Corporate (1120S) and Individual (1040) tax returns. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor or Associates degree in Accounting or related field and is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of practices in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions
• Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
• Prepare trial balance
• Analyze budgets and other financial information
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Complete required tax forms

Qualifications

• Associates and/or Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field
• QuickBooks Certified
• Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
