Responsibilities Conduct research and development activities to advance or create new battery chemistries and energy storage solutions. Create and present reports on the company’s research and development status, goals, and progress. Work with customers to develop customized chemistries and solutions for their application. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure appropriate levels of validation and verification are conducted to demonstrate that the system-level requirements can be met. Represent the company as a technical expert for ongoing project delivery and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Requirements Master’s degree in a STEM subject equivalent or related to Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities. A doctoral-level degree is preferred. Knowledge of battery technologies. Strong experience with battery safety and performance testing equipment and data acquisition systems. Experience in developing electrochemical and/or thermal models for batteries. What we consider advantages Experience working in a motorsports environment. Experience working for an automotive OEM. Experience working in the aerospace or defense industry. Understanding and experience with SBIR/STTR.
