The Fire Protection Engineer will also participate in business development activities. These activities may include developing relationships with current and potential clients, being active in local organizations, and assisting in the overall growth efforts of the firm.

This is what you need to be successful:

Candidates must be licensed to practice engineering in the State of Texas or the ability to be licensed in the State of Texas. A minimum of five years of work experience in fire protection engineering is preferred.

PDI is looking for someone with:

  • the ability to work independently and to juggle multiple priorities,
  • knowledge of International Building and Fire Code and NFPA Standards with the ability to interpret and apply these codes to projects,

  • expertise using Windows, Office 365, AutoCAD or Revit, Adobe Acrobat or BlueBeam Revu.

What we offer:

PDI strives to provide a competitive compensation and benefit package to attract and retain highly skilled people. To accomplish this, we offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid life insurance, a 401(k) with matching contributions, paid holidays, and personal leave benefits. During the interview process, a full explanation of the benefits will be provided.

For the FPE position, the compensation range is $85,000 - $175,000 and the actual compensation will be subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, and skillset.
