Job Summary

Martin Commercial Properties is seeking a dynamic and innovative Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is critical in shaping our brand identity and elevating our marketing efforts across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a keen eye for design, a passion for visual storytelling, and the ability to produce compelling marketing materials that drive engagement. In addition to traditional graphic design responsibilities, this role requires basic video editing skills and content curation expertise to enhance our digital presence.

This is an on-site position based in East Lansing, MI, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with a team of marketing and commercial real estate professionals. Salary commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities/Job Functions

Creative Design & Brand Development

  • Design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including property brochures, proposals, maps, signage, and presentations.
  • Create engaging graphics for social media, digital advertising, and email marketing to increase audience engagement.
  • Develop visually compelling assets for high-profile properties, special projects, and events.
  • Maintain and refine brand identity across all marketing materials, ensuring consistency in logos, typography, and color schemes.

Video Editing & Digital Content

  • Edit and enhance videos for marketing initiatives, including property spotlights, promotional content, and social media reels.
  • Assist in storyboarding and basic motion graphics to support video production efforts.

Content Curation & Asset Management

  • Organize and maintain a digital library of images, videos, templates, and brand assets for seamless team access.
  • Source, catalog, and optimize visual content to support marketing campaigns.

Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with the marketing team and all cross-functional teams within Martin to understand project needs and deliver impactful designs.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging design tools, and best practices to keep Martin’s marketing fresh and effective.
  • Utilize project management tools (e.g., Asana) to track and prioritize design tasks efficiently.

  • Strong verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic video editing proficiency (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva, or similar tools).
  • Familiarity with content curation and digital asset management.
  • Interest in learning the commercial real estate industry to create impactful marketing materials.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years graphic design experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a business-to-business (B2B) design or marketing role.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
